Youth Week 2026

Bring It On! Youth Festival is Fairfield City Council's annual Youth Week event, but what exactly does that mean?

Youth Week is an annual celebration of all young people aged 12-24 which began in NSW in 1989. It is a time to put young people at the centre and celebrate the talents, achievements, strengths and contributions of young people.

Youth Week events are organised by young people, for young people alongside local Councils and youth services. Youth Week is an opportunity for young people to come together and:

  • attend live events
  • showcase your talents
  • take part in competitions
  • share your voice
  • have fun!

Youth Week NSW 2026 is 16-26 April

This year's theme, as voted on by young people across NSW, is 'DREAM. DARE. DO.' The theme was proposed by 15-year-old Hafsa, who is a member of the 2026 NSW Youth Advisory Council. Hafsa states that the theme “encourages creativity and courage, inspiring young people to dream big and take real steps to make those dreams happen.”

Outside of Bring It On! there is also a calendar of events, shows, workshops and activities that are organised by local youth services and young people. Just like Bring It On! all of these events are free!
