Tradition and culture are celebrated with lion dancing performances and workshops, martial arts demonstrations, the God of Fortune, and both traditional and modern calligraphy stations. Kids and families are entertained with various activities, games and amusement rides. Diners pack the local restaurants well into the evening.
The annual blessing will occur on Sunday in Freedom Plaza, with the traditional blessing of Fairfield City and the Cabramatta community at 10am. The blessing is conducted by the Australian Chinese Buddhist Society (local temple) who bless the Country and the Community for good luck.
