Cabramatta Moon Festival 2024 - Winner of the Best Multicultural Show/Event at the 2024 Western Sydney Tourism Awards!

For the first time, Cabramatta will proudly host the inaugural National Lion Dance Competition in Australia - an exciting event presented by Fairfield City Council in collaboration with the Australian Dragon and Lion Dance Federation.

This vibrant two-day competition kicks off on Saturday 27 September, with the nation’s top lion dance champions crowned on Sunday 28 September.

In a spectacular double celebration, the National Lion Dance Competition will take place alongside the beloved Cabramatta Moon Festival on Sunday 28 September - promising a cultural weekend unlike anything Western Sydney, or greater Sydney, has ever seen.

Expect breathtaking lion dance displays, captivating live cultural and music performances, mouth-watering cuisine, and a vibrant line-up of family-friendly activities. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the Mid-Autumn season while soaking up the rich culture and electric atmosphere of Cabramatta.
